- Oversee operations for annual photography competition
- Determine rules and regs, deadlines, criteria and source judges panel
- Develop process for submitting images
- Source awards
- Determine structure, criteria, and nominations for yearly awards and honors
- Committee members can still enter contests
- Manage editorial output of PBPA – blog, social media, live event programming, member newsletter
- Content from member and non-members
- Maintain the “What’s Happening” section of the website
- Develop a yearly agenda for items to be presented to MLB or specific Clubs around working conditions for photographers
- Responsible for maintaining the Ballpark Directory with input from Team Photographer Chair
- Stay up-to-date on MLB jewel event guide to understand what can be expected from an infrastructure standpoint
- Take in feedback from members on benefits, rules and regulations, future direction and desires
- Address new member applications and handle onboarding process
- Maintain code of conduct and handle disciplinary issues
- Provide a space for students to get to know each other, ask questions and seek professional guidance
- Should have quarterly drop-in from more senior members (board, team photographers, etc.) to help foster growth
- Eventually help develop workshop needs and direction for student learning opportunities
