Porter Binks is a freelance photo editor, photographer and photo event manager.  He is currently the photo consultant to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and a contract photographer for the Big East Conference.

A member of the NYPPA Board of Trustees between 2015-2023, he has served on the Contest Committee has assisted at the contest judging.

As a venue photo manager at the Olympics, he has managed: Gymnastics and Basketball final rounds in Paris (2024) Basketball in Tokyo (2021), Cross Country Skiing in PyeongChang (2018), golf in Rio (2016), three venues at the Toronto Pan Am Games (2015), basketball in London (2012), and at Ski Jumping/Cross Country in Vancouver (2010).

He was a picture editor at Sports Illustrated for 10 years and spent 16 years as a sports picture editor and photographer at USA TODAY.
